Race Transportation

Shuttle buses will transport racers from Ketchum to Galena Lodge, from the finish area back to Ketchum for the Full Boulder, Ketchum to Baker Creek, and back for the Half Boulder.

Full Boulder

Buses will begin transporting racers from Hemingway Elementary to Galena Lodge from 7 a.m. through 9:30 a.m. We recommend racers in waves 1-2-3 travel between 7-8:15 a.m. The average travel time one-way is 35 minutes, weather dependent. Buses will depart as they fill up. Spectators wanting to watch the race start at Galena may board the buses between 9-9:30 a.m. as room allows. However, we will give racers priority.

Half Boulder

Shuttles will transport skiers in the Half Boulder to Baker Creek between 10-10:45 a.m. Half-Boulder participants should not board buses before 10 a.m. as they will not stop at Baker Creek.

Finish Area to Ketchum 

Return shuttles from the finish area to Hemingway Elementary are between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and will leave every 20 minutes.

Watching the Race

Hemingway School to Galena Lodge

For Racers and Spectators:
7-9:15 a.m.
Buses will depart as they fill.
Elite and Waves 3 & 4 should be on the earlier buses.

Half Boulder buses will transport racers to Baker Creek from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. Half-Boulder participants should not board buses before 10 a.m. as they will not stop at Baker Creek. Buses will depart as they fill up according to social distancing.

Spectator Watching the Finish

Spectators driving from Ketchum to watch the finish can park on Barlow Road, ¼ mile south of the finish. Shuttles will run continuously from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., or allow time to walk.

Galena Lodge to Finish at SNRA

There will be three spectator buses leaving from Galena to the finish line:

10:15 a.m. (This is the bus to catch if you want to see the Elite finishers)

10:45 a.m.

11:15 a.m.

Return Shuttles from the Finish to Hemingway School

Buses will leave approximately every 20 minutes from 12-3 p.m.

Parking Restrictions

Galena Lodge

On Saturday, there is NO PUBLIC PARKING at Galena Lodge until all racers have crossed the highway, approximately 11:30 a.m. Drop-offs are allowed ¼ mile south of the lodge, however, drivers must stay in the vehicle and will not be allowed to park. This rule is strictly enforced.

Finish area at SNRA

There is NO PUBLIC PARKING at the finish area. Violators will be towed at their own expense. Spectators are welcome to park at Barlow Road, 1/4 mile south of the finish. Shuttles will run continuously from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or allow time to walk.

Highway 75 corridor

Parking is only allowed in designated turnouts along Highway 75 and is very limited during the race. Blaine County Sheriff’s Deputies and Idaho State Police will be on the road to enforce all traffic regulations and to help keep the event as safe as possible.
